ATLAS has always believed machines can do more than dispense products, they can deliver dignity. In 2024, we launched Hygiene Aid, transforming vending machines into smart sanitary pad dispensers to tackle period poverty. With a discreet smart card system, B40 students could redeem pads with a single tap, ensuring they never miss school because of lack of access.
The impact was immediate: students and schools voiced overwhelming support, absenteeism dropped, and the conversation around period poverty began to shift.
Building on this success, Phase 2 expanded access from 300 to 1,000 students across 10 schools in Kuala Lumpur. Backed by Libresse and championed by YB Dato’ Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, Hygiene Aid is no longer just a pilot, it’s a proof of change.
By 2026, our goal is to reach 100 schools nationwide. Because access should never be a privilege and dignity should never come at a cost.
